Running Program – day 23

Last night was another first for me – 8km! Wow- it was far 🙂 We did a route that I drive quite often and even now I find it hard to believe that I actually ran it. I am a runner – finally 🙂
The splits were: 5m walk, 25m run, 2m walk, 2 * 15m run, 2m walk.
My calves ached, my hip was VERY sore, and I ran super slowly :). Towards the end my legs felt like lead weights – heavy and tired. When I got home I ordered a pizza and ate it all in record time!
Its a long weekend for those of us in sunny South Africa – so the next running day is only on Tuesday next week – lots of time to rest up!
